About kumiko 組 子
It is a Japanese craftsmanship technique known since the 7th century, which consists in arranging geometric patterns from individual wooden slats without nails.
Traditionally, Kumiko has been used to create architectural elements such as balustrades and sliding doors.
In addition, there are 200 different patterns, each with a name related to nature, as they are based on simplified motifs from nature's elements.
